Dear Mom, Thank You
This Mother’s Day, while the world is so uncertain, let’s honor each other in a simple way.
say thank you
(and really mean it.)
With so many families at home for the last two months, every mother’s daily labors of love are being seen as never before. We are piled in on top of each other. Working, caring, eating, sleeping, playing, and finding out just what it takes to keep our families going.
All parents, and today especially the mamas, need to hear they are seen, appreciated and loved.
To those of you who see what you do as mothering. To anyone identifying as mama, mom, mother, or any other special name you choose.
THANK YOU.
Thank you for all the caring.
Thank you for being enough even on the days when nothing feels like enough.
Thank you for doing your best.
Don't forget to say it! Thank your mom. Thank your friend’s mom who raised you like her own. Thank the person who co-parents with you. Say thank you to someone who is not a mom who cares for you and makes your life a better place. If your mother has passed away, write her a letter of gratitude. If you know a single mom, call them up and let them know you see just how hard they are working.
We all need to be celebrated sometimes!
